Sangley Point records day's hottest heat index at 50°C
PAGASA's weather station at Sangley Point in Cavite City recorded the highest heat index in the country on Friday with 50°C.
According to PAGASA, it is followed by Dagupan City with 47°C, Ambulong in Tanauan City, Davao City, Dipolog City and the Science City of Munoz with 46°C.
The weather agency reiterated the dangers brought by a heat index ranging from 41 to 54°C such as heat cramps and heat exhaustion.
Meanwhile, a heat stroke is also possible amid continued physical activity.

The heat index, the human-perceived temperature, reached 40°C at the Science Garden, Quezon City on Friday, according to PAGASA.
PAGASA also recorded a temperature of 36.2 degrees celsius at 3 p.m.
