Thunderstorms expected over Metro Manila, more areas within next 2 hours—PAGASA
Moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila and neighboring provinces in Luzon on Thursday afternoon, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
In a thunderstorm advisory, PAGASA said these provinces that will experience rains in the next two hours include Tarlac, NuevaEcija, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, and Bulacan.
These weather conditions are being experienced particularly in the following areas:
- Batangas - Nasugbu, Lian, Tuy, Balayan, BatangasCity, Lipa
- Quezon - Real, Mauban, Tiaong, Dolores
- Laguna - Pakil, Paete, Pangil, Siniloan, Famy
- Rizal- Tanay
- Cavite - Alfonso, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang
Aside from these, nearby areas may also experience the same weather conditions within the next two hours.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides.Keep monitoring for updates,” PAGASA said.
The advisory came hours after a heavy rain with ferocious wind started lashing San Policarpo municipality in Eastern Samar where Typhoon Ambo made landfall shortly after noon on Thursday. -MDM, GMA News
