Red rainfall warning remains over Quezon; orange up over Laguna, Rizal; yellow up over Metro Manila

PAGASA has raised an orange rainfall warning over Laguna and Rizal on Friday afternoon due to Severe Tropical Storm Ambo.

Under the orange warning, flooding is "threatening" in low-lying areas and near river channels, according to the weather agency.

Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning has been raised over Metro Manila, Bulacan, and Batangas due to possible flooding in flood-prone areas.

The red rainfall warning remained over Quezon.

Under a red warning, residents are advised to take action as serious flooding is expected in flood-prone areas.

Meanwhile, the light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, and Cavite may persist within two to three hours and affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised the public and concerned authorities to monitor the weather condition. — RSJ, GMA News
