Moderate to heavy rains over NCR as Ambo heads toward Bulacan
Severe Tropical Storm Ambo will continue to bring moderate to heavy rains in Metro Manila and several other provinces in Luzon as it moves toward Bulacan, PAGASA announced Friday in its 8 p.m. severe weather bulletin.
Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains will be felt in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Aurora, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Occidental Mindoro, and Marinduque, the weather bureau said.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 remains hoisted over the following provinces:
- Ilocos Norte
- Ilocos Sur
- Apayao
- Abra
- Kalinga
- Mountain Province
- Ifugao
- Benguet
- La Union
- Nueva Vizcaya
- Nueva Ecija
- Quirino
- Aurora
- The eastern portion of Pangasinan (San Nicolas, Natividad, San Quintin, Umingan, Balungao, Sta. Maria, Tayug, Asingan, San Manuel, Binalonan, Laoac, Urdaneta, Villasis, Rosales, Sto. Meanwhile, TCWS No. 1 is raised over the following areas:

- The northwestern portion of Camarines Sur (Del Gallego, Ragay, Lupi, Sipocot)
At 7 p.m. on Friday, Ambo was estimated in the vicinity of General Nakar, Quezon with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 165 kph.
The next severe weather bulletin will be issued at 11 p.m.
Rainfall warning
PAGASA has raised a red rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Nueva Ecija, and Quezon on Friday evening.
Specific areas under the red warning in Quezon are General Nakar, Polilio, Real, and Infanta, according to the weather agency.
Under this alert, severe flooding is expected. Residents and concerned authorities are advised to take necessary precautionary measures.
Meanwhile, an orange warning has been raised in Quezon (Mauban, Sampaloc, Lucban, Tayabas, Lucena, Sariaya, Candelaria, Dolores, Tiaong, San Antonio, Atimonan, Pagbilao), Laguna, Pampanga, and Tarlac.
Under an orange warning alert, flooding is "threatening" in low-lying areas and near river channels.
A yellow rainfall warning has also been raised over Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Zambales.
