Cloudy skies, isolated rains in Metro Manila, some parts of the Philippines, due to the easterlies


A frontal system will be affecting extreme northern Luzon while the easterlies will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms brought about by the frontal system. The agency also warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms with the possibility of the occurrence of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed in northern Luzon is light to moderate moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to south during while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
