Frontal system to brings rains, thunderstorms over 10 areas

A frontal system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over 10 areas in Luzon on Sunday, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said the Ilocos Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Batanes, and Cagayan provinces, including the Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will be affected.

PAGASA warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during scattered to, at times, heavy rains.

Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.
