Batanes and nearby provinces to have scattered rains due to frontal system

Extreme Northern Luzon is being affected by a frontal system on Sunday, and this will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in the area, PAGASA said.

Batanes, the northern portion of Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of rainfall.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may possibly occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves reaching as tall as 3.1 meters.
