Cloudy skies, isolated rains in Mindanao, Western Visayas, Palawan due to ITCZ


A Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan, Western Visayas, and Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

The weather bureau is also monitoring a Low Pressure Area (LPA) that was spotted at 3 a.m.  at 635 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan or at 610 km east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora province.

Mindanao, Western Visayas, and Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. The agency warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought about by localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for extreme northern Luzon is light to moderate moving southwestward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

For the rest of the country, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
