Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan to have scattered rains

Scattered rain showers have been forecast on Monday for Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN and Davao del Sur will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Visayas and the rest of Mindanao and Palawan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and ITCZ.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms in all the above-mentioned areas.

The ridge of a high pressure area continues to extend over Northern Luzon.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Northern Luzon.

In Palawan, Mindanao, Visayas and the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight except during thunderstorms.
