LPA looms over Eastern Samar —PAGASA
PAGASA on Monday afternoon spotted a new low pressure area (LPA) at 640 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.
Yhe ITCZ is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, the weather bureau said in its 4 p.m. bulletin.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by the easterlies.
PAGASA advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Moreover, PAGASA said light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Mindanao, Visayas and Northern Luzon.
For the rest of the country, the wind speed will be light to moderate, while coastal water will be slight to moderate. —LDF, GMA News
