Cloudy skies, scattered rains forecast for Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao
A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated early Tuesday morning at 465 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar and is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers or thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the southwest to variable direction.
In the Visayas, the wind forecast is light to moderate moving in the northeast to variable direction.
In the northern Luzon, the wind forecast is light to moderate and moving in the southeast to south direction while Palawan will have a light wind forecast except in thunderstorms moving in the southwest to southeast.
The rest of Luzon will have a light to moderate wind forecast moving in the northeast to southeast direction. The coastal waters in the country will be slight to moderate.
