LPA, ITCZ to bring rains over Eastern Visayas

A low pressure area (LPA) and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA has said.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said that the LPA was estimated at 305 kilometers east northeast of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Southwesterly Windflow may also bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Occidental, and Davao del Sur, including Davao City.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail over Palawan and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao due to ITCZ and the Southwesterly Windflow.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may, meanwhile, experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies, warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.

PAGASA warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.2°C at 6:20 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 33.4°C at 11 a.m. -NB, GMA News
