ITCZ to bring rains, thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN, PAGASA said Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may, meanwhile, prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are also possible due to severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.4°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 33.2°C at 3:20 p.m. —LDF, GMA News
