ITCZ to bring rains over Zamboanga, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the area where winds from the northern and southern hemisphere meet, continues to affect Visayas and Mindanao on Sunday, bringing rains to parts of Mindanao, weather bureau PAGASA said.

Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN and the Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rainfall.

The rest of Mindanao will have generally fair weather with isolated thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

  • Tuguegarao: 24-35ºC
  • Laoag: 25-33ºC
  • Metro Manila: 25-33ºC
  • Baguio: 16-24ºC
  • Olongapo: 25-34ºC
  • Tagaytay: 22-30ºC
  • Lipa: 24-33ºC
  • Legazpi: 26-33ºC
  • Tacloban: 26-32ºC
  • Metro Cebu: 26-32ºC
  • Iloilo/Bacolod: 25-32ºC
  • Puerto Princesa: 25-32ºC
  • Metro Davao: 25-32ºC
  • Zamboanga Peninsula: 25-31ºC
  • Cagayan de Oro: 23-31ºC
  • Valencia: 18-31ºC
  • Zamboanga: 25-31ºC

 

No gale warning has been raised for Sunday. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate in Luzon, and slight in Visayas and Mindanao.
