Easterlies, localized thunderstorms to bring isolated rains over PHL


Easterlies, warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA said the easterlies are also affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.6°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum of 35.2°C at 2:55 p.m.

 

 

PAGASA also warned of expected moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds over Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Quezon within the next two hours.

In its 4:12 advisory, the weather agency said the same conditions are currently being experienced in Metro Manila, Tarlac, Zambales, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite and Batangas which may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Specific areas affected are: Quezon City, Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Santa Ignacia, Mayantoc, Gerona, Candelaria, Masinloc, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, San Jose Del Monte, San Miguel, Rodriguez, San Mateo, San Perdo, Binan, Cabuyao, Santa Rosa, Calamba, General Mariano Alvares, Carmona, Dasmarinas, General Trias, Trece Martires, Silang, Malvar, Balete, and Tanauan.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides. —LDF, GMA News
