Easterlies, localized thunderstorms prevail over Metro Manila, PHL


Easterlies, warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA said the Easterlies are also affecting the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, the synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.7°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature at 33.8°C at 1:50 p.m.

PAGASA said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Nueva Ecija, Zambales, and Batangas within the next two hours.

The same conditions are being experienced in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Tarlac, Pampanga, Quezon, and Laguna which may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Specific areas affected are: Quezon City, Marikina, San Mateo, Rodriguez, Norzagaray, Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel, Dasmarinas, Silang, General Trias, Trece Martires, Rosario, Tanza, Noveleta, Capas, Bamban, Mabalacat, Calauag, San Pablo, and Calauan. -MDM, GMA News
