Carina to bring cloudy skies with rain showers, thunderstorms over northern Luzon
Tropical Depression Carina is expected to bring cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Batanes and Babuyan Islands, according to PAGASA on Tuesday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said the center of Carina was seen 140 kilometers west northwest of Basco, Batanes at 3 p.m. with maximum sustained winds of 45 km per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km per hour.
Carina is moving northwest slowly, PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
Moreover, the weather agency said moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail in Northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters should be expected in the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
