ITCZ to bring scattered rain showers, thunderstorms over 5 areas

The Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible, the weather agency said.

Meanwhile, PAGASA's synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 24.2°C at 6:15 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 35°C at 1:50 p.m. -NB, GMA News
