Mindanao will be cloudy with scattered rains due to LPA, ITCZ

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated early Thursday morning at 420 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / ITCZ with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the ITCZ  and/or localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for the whole country is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while the coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

The sun will rise at about 5:37 a.m. and set at 6:28 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
