Trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Quezon, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated early Wednesday morning at 435 kilometers west southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, PAGASA reported.

MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the Trough of the LPA. Flash floods or landslides may occur, the weather bureau also reported, due to moderate with at times heavy rainshowers.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon is moderate to strong and moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, wind speed will be slight to moderate and moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
