TCZ to bring scattered rains, thunderstorms over 6 areas
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula, PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may, meanwhile, experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area (formerly Tropical Depression Gener) was estimated at 840 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 24.2°C at 6:40 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.3°C at 12 noon. —LDF, GMA News
