LPA to bring rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos

A low pressure area (LPA) will bring rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and the Ilocos provinces on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

These areas will have cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, and possibly flash floods or landslides during times of moderate or heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country including Metro Manila will have generally fair weather and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers mostly in the afternoon or evening due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may also occur during severe thunderstorms.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was located 225 km east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora. It is not expected to intensify into a tropical storm in the next three days.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.

Sunrise will be at 5:42 a.m. while sunset will be at 6:18 p.m. —KG, GMA News
