LPA, Habagat to bring rains, thunderstorms over Metro Manila, other areas
A low pressure area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas, according to PAGASA on Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, the LPA was estimated at 95 kilometers east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora.
Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas.
PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
