LPA, southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies, thunderstorms over Ilocos, CAR, Cagayan Valley, central Luzon
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 310 kilometers north northeast of Casiguran, Aurora or at 210 km East of Aparri, Cagayan while the southwest monsoon will be affecting Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA and the southwest monsoon. The weather bureau also warned that flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.
In the extreme northern Luzon, wind speed will be moderate moving in the southeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate.
Wind speed in the Visayas and the rest of Luzon will be moderate moving southwestward while coastal waters will be moderate.
The wind speed for the rest of the country will be light to moderate moving in the south to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
