LPA, Habagat prevail over Metro Manila, 4 areas
A low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and the province of Rizal, according to PAGASA on Friday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
At 3 p.m. on Friday, the LPA was estimated at 125 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 24.9°C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 28.6°C at 1:50 p.m. —LDF, GMA News
