Habagat to dampen parts of the country
The southwest monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The monsoon and localized thunderstorms are also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Flash floods or landslides are also possible, according to PAGASA.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, the low pressure area (LPA) being monitored by PAGASA was estimated at 1,045 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora.
Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 27.3°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.7°C at 3 p.m.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
