LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Bicol, Samar
The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region and the Samar Provinces, PAGASA said Wednesday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the LPA was estimated at 895 kilometers east of Southern Luzon. PAGASA said it is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
Meanwhile, the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Flash floods and landslides are also possible, according to PAGASA.
