LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) early Saturday was estimated at 45 kilometers north of Romblon, Romblon, PAGASA reported.

CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau warns that flash floods or landslides may during severe thunderstorms.

The weather bureau is monitoring an active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of 3 a.m., a tropical depression  located 2,035 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center with gustiness up to 55 kph moving in the north northwest direction at 30 kph.

The wind speed forecast for northern and central Luzon is light to moderate and moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In the Visayas and the rest of Luzon, wind speed is light moving in the southwest to variable direction while coastal waters remain slight.

Wind speed in Mindanao is light moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters remain slight.
