LPA, southwest monsoon to bring rains over Visayas, Palawan
A low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas and Palawan, PAGASA said on Tuesday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said the LPA was located 315 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar at 3 p.m.
Localized thunderstorms, meanwhile, may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Moreover, the weather agency said light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon.
The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden in Quezon City also reported a minimum temperature of 25.8°C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.8°C at 1 p.m.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
