LPA, Habagat to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over 8 areas
A low pressure area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Isabela, Aurora, Quezon Province including Polillo Island, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, MIMAROPA, and Western Visayas, PAGASA said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
At 3 p.m. on Thursday, the LPA was estimated at 440 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora.
Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible.
