PAGASA: Heavy rainshowers with lightning, strong winds expected over Metro Manila

Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila and neighboring areas within the next two hours, PAGASA said Monday night.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 7:35 p.m., the state weather bureau said inclement weather will prevail over Metro Manila, Tarlac, Cavite, and Batangas (Nasugbu, Lian).

PAGASA also said intense rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in areas in Bulacan, Zambales, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan, “which may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.”

“Thunderstorms in other areas are now terminated. All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides,” PAGASA said. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
