Orange rainfall warning up over Zambales


PAGASA raised the orange rainfall warning over Zambales at 5 a.m. on Monday due to the Southwest Monsoon and Tropical Depression Nika.

This means intense rainfall between 15 mm to 30 mm may be expected within one hour. Residents are advised to be alert since flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and near river channels.

The yellow rainfall warning meanwhile was raised at 5 a.m. over Bataan.

This means 7.5 to 15 mm of moderate to heavy rains in one hour which may continue in the next two hours. Flooding is possible in flood-prone areas.

Light to moderate rains meanwhile are to be expected over Nueva Ecija, Laguna, and Quezon within the next two to three hours.

Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Batangas and Rizal meanwhile are having light to moderate with occasional heavy rains as of posting time, and this may persist within two to three hours and affect nearby areas. —KG, GMA News
