LPA’s trough, northeasterly surface wind flow to bring rains over 7 areas
The trough of a low pressure area and the northeasterly surface windflow will bring rains over seven areas on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning weather bulletin.
Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA.
PAGASA defines trough as the elongated area of low barometric pressure generally stretching north to south. “This is the line where the lowest readings of the barometer will be recorded,” it added.
The northeasterly surface windflow meanwhile, is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.
It will bring cloudy skies with rain showers over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora and Quezon.
The northeasterly surface windflow will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate or heavy rains, or during severe thunderstorms in any of the above-mentioned areas.
Coastal waters meanwhile will be moderate to rough in Northern and Central Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
