Yellow rainfall warning up over Apayao, Cagayan, Isabela


PAGASA on Tuesday night raised a yellow rainfall warning over several areas in Apayao, Cagayan, and Isabela due to tropical storm Pepito.

In its 11 p.m. advisory, the weather agency said specific areas affected are Calanasan, Flora, Santa Marcela, Luna, Alcala, Allacapan, Amulung, Aparri, Baggao, Claveria,  Gattaran, Gonzaga, Lallo, Peñablanca, Santa Ana, Sanchez Mira, Cabagan, Divilacan, Ilagan City, Maconacon, San Pablo, and Tumauini.

PAGASA warned affected residents of possible flooding and landslides in prone areas.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains to, at times, heavy rains are prevailing over Fuga Island, Abra, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Kalinga, and the Mountain Province, which may persist within three hours and affect nearby areas.

The weather agency is set to issue a rainfall warning at 2 a.m. on Wednesday.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
