Siony exits PAR; LPA to bring rains over CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao
CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the Low Pressure Area (LPA) with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
As of 3 a.m. on Saturday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 500 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte.
Severe Tropical Storm Atsani is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 280 kilometers northwest of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and gustiness up to 115 kph and moving northwestward at a speed of 10 kph.
The wind speed forecast for the eastern section of southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to northwest direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
