Yellow rainfall warning up over parts of Cagayan, Isabela

PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over parts of Cagayan and Isabela on Monday at 5 a.m. due to heavy rains from the tail-end of a cold front.

The yellow rainfall warning is in effect over:

• Cagayan: Abulug, Baggao, Claveria, Gattaran, Pamplona, Peñablanca, SantaPraxedes and SanchezMira
• Isabela: Cabagan, Divilacan, IlaganCity and Tumauini

The state weather bureau said the above-mentioned areas may have flooding and landslides in areas prone to these hazards.

Meanwhile, the following areas are having light to moderate rains which may persist for two to three hours:

• Apayao: Calanasan, Conner and Kabugao
• Cagayan: Alcala, Amulung, Aparri, Ballesteros, Buguey, Camalanuigan, Enrile, Iguig, Lallo, Piat, Rizal, SantaTeresita, Solana, Tuao and TuguegaraoCity
• Ilocos Norte: Adams, Burgos, Bangui, Dumalneg, Pagudpud and Vintar
• the rest of Isabela
• Kalinga

PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned to take the necessary precautions, monitor the weather condition and await the next advisory to be issued at 8 a.m. —KG, GMA News
