Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Ilocos Region, CAR, part of Cagayan Valley due to northeast monsoon
The northeast monsoon will be affecting northern Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Batanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the Tail-end of the Cold Front with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed in northern Luzon will be moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
In the Visayas, Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon, wind speed will be light to moderate moving in the northeast to east direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The weather bureau continues to monitor the active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), Typhoon Vamco (formerly Ulysses), was estimated at 835 kilometers west of central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 165 kilometers per hour and gustiness up to 205 kph and moving westward at the speed of 20 kph.
