Yellow rainfall warning up over Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Northern Samar

PAGASA raised the yellow rainfall warning over Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon and Northern Samar on Sunday morning due to heavy rains caused by a low pressure area.

The advisory, issued at 5 a.m., warned residents to expect flooding in low-lying areas near river channels.

Those in mountainous areas were advised to take precautions against landslides.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains meanwhile are being felt over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate including Burias Island and Ticao Island, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

These rains may continue for two to three hours.

PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned to take the appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition and await the next advisory to be released at 8 a.m. —KG, GMA News
