Cloudy skies, scattered rains over the Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA due to the LPA, ITCZ


As of 3 a.m. on Friday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 240 kilometers East of Davao City embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect  the Visayas and Mindanao as the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon, according to PAGASA.

Visayas, Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the LPA and ITCZ and flash floods or landslides may occur following moderate to heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but will have no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

Meanwhile, Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

In Luzon, there will be moderate to strong wind speed moving northeast as coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction but coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction as the coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
