Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Metro Manila, nearby areas due to Tail-end of Frontal System
At 3 a.m. on Thursday, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 210 kilometers South Southwest of Puerto Princessa City, Palawan embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Mindanao, the Tail-end of Frontal System (Shear line) affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon. and the Northeast Monsoon affecting extreme Northern Luzon, PAGASA reported.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Quezon, and Rizal will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the Tail-end of Frontal System with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
Rest of CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to LPA/ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speed moving in the Southeast to Northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Wind speed in the Visayas and Mindanaois light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
