Rains, thunderstorms over Cagayan, Cordillera due to tail-end of frontal system
The tail-end of a frontal system is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, according to PAGASA on Friday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms may also prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the low pressure area (LPA) being monitored by PAGASA was estimated at 280 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.
According to the 11 a.m. weather advisory, the LPA is expected to dissipate over the West Philippine Sea in the next 36 hours. It remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression.
The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 25.6°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 30°C at 1:50 p.m.—AOL, GMA News
