Northeast monsoon to bring rains over Visayas, Bicol

Cloudy skies with rains are expected to prevail over the Visayas and the Bicol region due to the northeast monsoon, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate with, at times, heavy rains.

The monsoon may also bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon.

It has no significant impact on the affected areas, PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

PAGASA’s synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 21.4°C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 30°C at 1:50 p.m.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
