LPA trough to bring scattered rains over Visayas, Bicol, Caraga, N. Mindanao, Davao
Visayas, Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms on Monday due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA), PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
Flash floods or landslides may occur during moderate to heavy rains.
At 3 a.m., the LPA was located 580 km east of Davao City.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) meanwhile continues to affect Northern Luzon.
It will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region and Central Luzon.
As for Metro Manila and the rest of the country, these areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the northern and eastern section of the country. Wave height may reach up to 4.1 meters.
The seas will be slight to moderate meanwhile in the rest of the country.
