Trough of LPA to bring rains over Quezon, Bicol, MIMAROPA, VisMin
The trough of a low-pressure area will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Southern Quezon, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said the LPA was located 175 kilometers east of Davao City at 3 p.m.
PAGASA warned affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, meanwhile, will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will also prevail in Ilocos Region and Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.
Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will be experienced in the northern and eastern sections of the country, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over the rest of the country. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
