PAGASA: Tail-end of a frontal system to bring rains over parts of Visayas, Mindanao

The tail-end of a frontal system will bring rains over the eastern section of Visayas and parts of Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon will affect Luzon, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga due to the tail-end of a frontal system.

PAGASA warned affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and Aurora.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will also be experienced over the rest of Luzon due to the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Moreover, moderate to strong winds and moderate coastal water conditions will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced over Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
