Easterlies to bring rains over Metro Manila, rest of country

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected to prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies, PAGASA said Friday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency warned affected residents that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Easterlies are warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.

Meanwhile, the PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 22.3°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 34.1°C at 3:30 p.m.
