Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas due to the trough of the LPA


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated early Wednesday morning at 895 kilometers east southeast of Davao City while the northeast monsoon will be affecting northern Luzon, PAGASA reported.

Mindanao and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA with the possibility that flash floods or landslides occurring during moderate with at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed in the northern and eastern sections of the country will be moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
