LPA to bring rains, thunderstorms over 5 areas

PAGASA on Thursday said a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, the Bicol Region, Marinduque and Romblon.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The LPA was estimated last estimated at 140 kilometers southeast of General Santos City.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

PAGASA said it has no significant impact on the country.

The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 22°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.2°C at 3:10 p.m.—LDF, GMA News
