Cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Philippines due to LPA
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 210 kilometers southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan as the northeast monsoon will be affecting extreme northern Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported.
Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and CALABARZON will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.
Wind speed forecast for northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain moderate to rough.
Visayas and rest of Luzon wind speed will be light to moderate moving in the southeast to northeast direction as coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
In Mindanao, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the southwest to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
