Light rains expected over Batanes, Babuyan due to Amihan; isolated rains over NCR

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), tail-end of frontal system and easterlies will cause rains over several areas on Monday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

The rest of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of frontal system (Shearline). Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The National Capital Region or Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. PAGASA warned of flash floods or landslides that may possibly occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, with waves reaching up to 3.4 meters.

As for the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
